Day 1

Once upon a time,
A team of 'superheroes' departed Perth on their quest to Manila to fight the evil poverty with the Love of God as their super power!

The time was 2.30am, the sky was black but we were anxious to set forth on our pursuit...and we had flashlights! The journey was treacherous, it was lengthy, arduous and a little bit tricky... with little more than 3 hours sleep, we continued on into the night.
Arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 8.00am we defied the beasts of customs without letting anything stand between us and the mission set at hand.
Preparring ourselves for the last leg of the journey, ensuring there was no problems with the left phalange; infact, the plane had some!  (Quote-Friends TV Show-Season 10, episode 23)
As we arrived in Manila we were faced with issues that battled for our meer-mortal souls, challenges that broke hearts and brought both tears and heavy burdens but still did not have the power to overcome the spirit of the team and the Love of God they planned to share with the community.

The reward for such courage and proven dignity was quickly discovered as we were approached by the smiling faces of the beautiful children in the children's home whilst we sung toghether and told stories of courageous bibical characters before tucking them into bed where they could dream of being superheroes of their own.

So with tired eyes and unrested bodies, we regret to inform you that it is bedtime...
